Does it take 1st person singular or plural as the object? Do Georgian verbs have a way to distinguish this?

Also it seems very strange to have just the grammatical analysis and not an English gloss. Maybe that's how it's been decided on en.wikt but it doesn't seem to be a good fit for polypersonal verbs like Georgian has. — hippietrail (talk) 11:15, 23 April 2012 (UTC)

It's interesting that this entry gives only the "grammatical formula" of tense/mood/aspect/person/number/etc whereas ბრძანდებით gives only an English gloss. I think it would be best, especially in the case of Georgian to have both. But I'm not certain which formatting would work best. — hippietrail (talk) 11:39, 23 April 2012 (UTC)

you said you would understand this :D. No, at this point, I think a grammatical analysis is enough ... As for ბრძანდებით. yeah, i must have done similarly but this is kinda exception. third person singular present for ბრძანდებით is ბრძანდება which has i think relatively different meaning.--Dixtosa 14:26, 23 April 2012 (UTC)

There is a problem with the templates in these entries; the parameters are out of order or something; they currently display "[...] taking first-person plural as an object of 1 (“pl”)". Perhaps User:Dixtosa knows how to fix them. - -sche (discuss) 06:01, 27 March 2014 (UTC)

It's not a problem with the parameters supplied, but with the edit User:CodeCat made to the template so it would use a module. I think the output is supposed to be:

1. Second-person plural present indicative, taking first-person plural as an object of ფრცქვნის (prckvnis)

It looks like the module is taking parameter 5 as the display form and 6 as the gloss, but the template is written to take 5 as the person of the object and 6 as the number of the object. The template shows the "-person" and " as an object" parts because there's something in parameter 5, but the module has replaced 5 and 6 with values the template isn't written to recognize. Also, all the parameter 5 and 6 stuff is supposed to go before the "of ფრცქვნის (prckvnis)" part. CodeCat didn't realize that there was anything wrong with her changes because most of the entries using the template don't have object affixes, and therefore have no parameters 5 or 6.
