For the donkey sense, Mon also has လှာ (la: donkey or mule) but it is stated that it is from Burmese လား (lá: mule), which is probably derived from same Chinese 驢 on another branch. I also check Tibetan བོང་བུ (bong bu: donkey), དྲེལ (drel: mule), རྐྱང (rkyang: wild donkey) but they are not even close to Chinese. --Octahedron80 (talk) 12:06, 29 May 2019 (UTC)
