@Geographyinitiative Shouldn't {{zh-see|傅|ss}} be able to get the job done? Dokurrat (talk) 13:38, 27 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It is believed by many that 傅 is a traditional character where 付 is the simplified form. I have met at least four or five people who have explicitly told me something like this, including people with the last names 付- many changed their last names to 付 and never changed back (but some did retain or change back to 傅). I am trying to tell the readers this information; to tell that, you have to go beyond {{zh-see|傅|ss}} alone. At very least, the note that "A Standard Dictionary of Current Chinese (现代汉语规范词典) proscribes the use of 付 as the simplified form of 傅." might be good to include here. (Basis: "”傅“字不能简化成”付“。" 现代汉语规范词典第3版,page 415, etc.) They didn't write that note for nothing: there is still a contingent of people that think that 付 is the simplified form for 傅 and on this basis will actively seek to change the character 傅 to 付 in a written text. --Geographyinitiative (talk) 00:04, 28 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see anything wrong with what you have done, but you have edited this in a way which is different from the way that the relationship between and is done. I think these are similar cases on some level. --Geographyinitiative (talk) 11:16, 28 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
