Character choice[edit]

@Justinrleung Just making sure you're happy with the character choice here. This seems to be the most common way to write it according to a Google search. The dog2 (talk) 22:59, 23 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

@The dog2: I would "standardize" 腳 to 跤, but I'm not sure about 㩼. — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 23:03, 23 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Justinrleung: Go ahead an move it then. I don't mind either way. But speaking of 跤/腳, isn't 交 the 本字? The dog2 (talk) 23:09, 23 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
@The dog2: 骹 is generally thought of as the 本字, but see the etymology at . @RcAlex36, Mar vin kaiser, Suzukaze-c, any thoughts on whether we should use 㩼 or 濟 for this (and other Teochew entries)? — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 23:11, 23 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Justinrleung: Although I'd like it to be more similar to Hokkien, our basis is usage right? So whichever is used more in Teochew, which I'm not super familiar with. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 09:23, 24 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Mar vin kaiser, Justinrleung: 㩼 is most certainly the more commonly-used character among Teochew speakers. But it's most certainly the same word as Taiwanese Hokkien 濟, with just a different choice of characters to represent the same words. I wonder if 沈澄心 and Austin Zhang have any thoughts on this.
