I did this edit cuz isn't 只 a simplified character ? Also even if somehow its traditional too what did they use b4 the simplification? Johnny Shiz (talk) 18:02, 10 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

只 is simplified for 隻 (zhī) when meaning "one, single", but in this case (in 只要 (zhǐyào)), 只 is pronounced zhǐ in Mandarin and it's generally used in traditional Chinese, but could also be written as 祇要衹要. The character 嘦 usually uses 只. The IDS should only describe the given character for the page, not any other variants. — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 19:11, 10 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
BTW, please use "show preview" before saving your edits, as {{ids=⿱隻要}} is not valid. It needs to go inside {{Han char}}. — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 19:14, 10 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
Struck as invalid. —suzukaze (tc) 05:36, 30 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
