X[edit]

Can it be explained in the entry what the "X"es in the Middle Chinese pronunciations signify? 173.89.236.187 03:27, 6 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I never would have guessed that, and probably most others wouldn't either. It looks like it represents a glottal stop or something. Using the X in this context, with no explanation of what it indicates and no way to find out for our users, is not a good situation at all. 173.89.236.187 03:35, 7 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It's in the box already: "Tone: Rising (X)". Wyang (talk) 03:50, 7 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stroke angle[edit]

In the stroke order diagram, the horizontal-ish lines in 女, 厶, 口 seem to be slanted at the same angle, unlike in the sans serif font used in the article proper (at least on my browser). Shouldn’t at least the lines in 口 be more horizontal, and probably the one in 女? 109.64.43.235 16:56, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
