実態調査[edit]

実態 "actual condition" + 調査 "investigation." Not listed as a lemma in other dictionaries except EDICT (which has the same definition verbatim, and which is stuffed with SoP terms). --Haplology (talk) 06:48, 22 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • I find 実態調査 as a headword in the IPビジネス用語対訳辞典 (glossed as “investigation of actual conditions”), as a sample compound in the Daijirin entry for 実態 (see Weblio), as a gloss for “factual survey” in the E>J EB科学技術用語大辞典 marked with a context tag for “chemistry”, and as a headword in the 和英医学用語大辞典 (glossed as “actual condition survey”). It's also almost listed in a sample usage in the Shogakukan 国語大辞典 entry for 実態, in 「働く女性の実態を調査する(明らかにする)」 “study [investigate] (clarify) the actual situation of working women”.
Apparently this compound is deemed idiomatic enough to be listed in some form—though I must admit that the idiomaticity escapes me. ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │ Tala við mig 18:09, 26 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
I'm convinced. Kept. --Haplology (talk) 03:29, 4 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
