Philippine Hokkien?

@Mlgc1998, @Kamkamkamuti As far as I know, no Hokkien person in the Philippines says soaⁿ-tang-hún. What I know people say is just tang-hún (冬粉). Mar vin kaiser (talk) 23:40, 26 August 2022 (UTC)

@Mar vin kaiser I asked my boomer parents separately individually about what the Hokkien for sotanghon is and my mom, who is of the Tsìn-kang side, says that she and my guama would call it "tang-hún" in Lán-nâng-uē and that "sotanghon" is Huan-á-uē, but when I asked my dad, who is of the Lâm-uaⁿ side, he said "sotanghon" sǐ Lán-nâng-uē --lo͘ hó͘! "sotanghon" sǐ suaⁿ-tang-hún, lâi Suaⁿ-tang(山東). Then I asked him what about "tang-hún", he said, "suaⁿ-tang-hún, tang-hún sǐ saⁿ-tâng."
Looking through the dialectal synonyms list for 粉絲, it seems many of the terms particularly around the southeastern coasts of China around the Wu and Min languages seem to show terms as if the others were simply clippings of 山東粉, but instead using different characters like 線粉 and 冬粉. @Mar vin kaiser I can confirm that 山東粉 is also used in my family. They all say that the terms 山東粉 and 冬粉 are synonymous, and I was also brought up with the notion that they were. Kamkamkamuti (talk) 09:55, 2 January 2023 (UTC)
