Mandarin readings[edit]

Can it be added in which contexts the two different tones in Mandarin are used? 24.29.228.33 10:49, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Done. 204.11.186.190 12:54, 7 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I thought it was ji3 for the number meanings and ji1 for "almost" but the examples don't agree with me. Siuenti (talk) 11:57, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Additional ancient reading[edit]

There is an additional MC and OC reading: MC=4 /ɡɨiH/ replace H with ʜ, invalid IPA characters (H) and oc=n,4 /*ɡɯls/, with the Guangyun annotation of "未已也" (“not stop”). I'm not sure where it belongs. Wyang (talk) 09:18, 6 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
