@Mar vin kaiser: hmm really? this is the term my mom called me last week and I remember hearing this term used either by her or my 外媽 before and their side from my 外大公 is descended from 晉江 but my mom mostly grew up here in metro manila from her early elem days to present. she a boomer lol. I've never heard of a 少年家 (siàu-diân-ke), but I asked my 阿姊, who grew up in binondo of which she says "chinese" is supposed to be her first language, she said she doesn't know what I'm saying but her best guess is maybe like a teenager. my dad says tho that, that's what the 老歲仔 says to call "bata".--Mlgc1998 (talk) 09:56, 27 December 2020 (UTC)

@Mlgc1998: Actually, my father says that he's familiar with it, so ok lol. Let's leave it there. My entire life, 少年家 is a familiar term, because every older person I meet calls us 少年家. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 10:11, 27 December 2020 (UTC)

@Mar vin kaiser: tbh, the feeling i get when i hear 後生家(hau-siⁿ-ke) always feels like someone is being sarcastic or criticizing me as a young unmarried male since my mother or some 老歲仔 always use it in that sort of tone--Mlgc1998 (talk) 10:22, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
