Protection/Preservation[edit]

"Protection sign of Hefeng Textile Factory"
"Protection sign, site of the Socialist Youth League of China"

@Siyuwj, 沈澄心 The English speaking world does not have 'Protection signs' as such. These are more akin to 'historical markers' or 'historical preservation markers'. 'Historical protection' is a Sci-Fi[1] concept within the first four links in a Google Search. --Geographyinitiative (talk) 12:14, 15 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

In Article 15 of the official translation of Cultural Relics Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, it states

therefore using sign is correct when the plaque shows the legal status of the historic monument. (Though I would like to use Chinese text directly to avoid ambiguity of translation) - Siyuwj (talk) 13:44, 15 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
