@Metaknowledge: I think I get what you mean, but what really stands out to me is "but are derived from morphemes that do have characters"; this reads as if this is universally accepted, when it cannot possibly be true (even for Mandarin). —Suzukaze-c (talk) 03:26, 1 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
