Wenzhounese classifier[edit]

[1] In Increased Empiricism: Recent advances in Chinese Linguistics in the section "Classifier choices" it says 枚 is the universal classifier in Wenzhounese and the "earliest general classifer in Chinese".--Prisencolin (talk) 03:07, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Prisencolin: Thanks for the source, but it's best to have actual evidence. @Mteechan, can you confirm that it's used in Wenzhounese as a general classifier? 溫州方言詞典 says it's only used for small things or flat things (e.g. 一枚徽章, 一枚針, 一枚旗). — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 03:54, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Doesn't sound valid to me. And I don't think I've ever heard someone use it as a "general classifier". But I'm not an advanced Wenzhounese speaker. So it may be true for older speakers, or regional Wenzhounese.Mteechan (talk) 05:52, 7 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
