I can imagine that as a non-English-speaker's oddly worded rendering for one literal interpretation of the characters, as (sand) + (pattern). Presumably such a sense would be SOP anyway? ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │Tala við mig 18:39, 22 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
It should probably be "sand ripples on the beach" or something like that. It's used in literary Chinese. Hanyu Da Cidian has it as an entry and provides three quotes. — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 01:24, 24 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
