@Mar vin kaiser I remember when I edited this before, I asked my atsi if she recognized the term. She said that yeah, she did and it's a swimming pool. I asked her again today and where she heard of it. She said that yeah, 泅水池, swimming pool. She said she heard it from our 阿媽 before, who's now deceased for some time. I asked her if she recognized 游泳池, she gave me a strange look wondering what that is. Then later, I asked my dad what a swimming pool is in 咱儂話. He said "泅水池，矣！" Then, I asked him what about 游泳池？ Then, he said "游泳池，抑是會做得矣！Although, growing up at our house before when we still had a swimming pool, of course, we usually didn't use Hokkien to call swimming pools, since me, my siblings and cousins just normally used English "swimming pool" for it.
