I believe at best that the transitivity of this verb is ambiguous. "To shower" is intransitive. "To take a shower" is certainly transitive. "To bask" is intransitive. Japanese verbs that take the particle "を" tend to be transitive, but don't have to be. Also, my dictionaries conflict each other on this. The ja-verb template has a parameter for this ("both"), so I personally think it's best like that. Please discuss this if you'd like.--Hikui87 15:40, 11 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
