Alternate Japanese pronunciation[edit]

Most Japanese terms may exhibit voicing if they appear as the second element in a compound. /f/ becomes /b/, /k/ becomes /ɡ/, /t/ becomes /d/, etc. See w:Rendaku for a fuller discussion of how this works.
