Quanzhou Pronunciation

@Justinrleung 閩南方言大詞典 says that the Quanzhou pronunciation of this is "kà-ná", when I sorta know that it's "khà-ná". The dictionary even says that Quanzhou Hokkien writes it as "較乃" and "較" is pronounced "khà". Could you help me check? Thanks! --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 15:45, 27 February 2019 (UTC)

@Mar vin kaiser: First of all, I think we should use 敢若 instead per MoE and p. 513 of 閩方大. Both p. 384 and 513 give kà-ná for Quanzhou, so I don't really see a point in making the distinction between 敢若 and 簡若. I've also checked the recordings, and I'm sure it's k-. At 簡若 it was pronounced as kà-nâ, which is probably because it's never said without something after, but for 敢若(是), they seem to have messed up and gave kà-nǎ-sǐ for both readings. — justin(r)leung _{{ (t...) | c=› }} 02:38, 28 February 2019 (UTC)

@Justinrleung: Oh, my distinction with 敢若 and 簡若 for 閩方大 is that 敢若 in p. 513 is "kà-nǎ" meaning "since", and 簡若 in p. 384 is "kà-ná" meaning "like". --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 03:22, 28 February 2019 (UTC)

@Justinrleung: Yeah I know, and the 敢若 for "like in p. 513 and 簡若 for "like" in p. 384 is also the same word in separate entries. So you're suggesting having "敢若" for "like" and "since" in one entry (with separate pronunciation section), and then having "簡若" as a variant pronunciation entry? --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 03:33, 28 February 2019 (UTC)
