Alternative forms

"罒 (when used as a Radical)" a counterexample would be 買 (to buy). although it uses the alternative form of 网, 罒as part of its composition, isn't being used as a radical.

Simplified vs Traditional[edit]

Can sb give me a brief history about how this is simplified? is this an ancient variant? pls tell me more. Johnny Shiz (talk) 21:03, 8 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Yes, this is an ancient variant. 亡 was added to 网 as a phonetic marker to get 罔, and 糸 was later added as a semantic component. 网 was later revived to be used in simplified Chinese. — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 20:12, 10 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
