Mandarin readings

Interestingly, this page contains working examples with the same tricks:

油燈沒油了，點不著了。 [MSC, trad.]
油灯没油了，点不着了。 [MSC, simp.]

Yóudēng méi yóu le, diǎn bù zháo le. [Pinyin]

There is no oil in the lamp, I can't light it

@Wyang Thank you for the big edit, Frank, it's still not working for the above example and the examples below are made the same way but one is working, the other is not, although they both use 著[着]{zháo}.

窗簾首先著了火。 [MSC, trad.]
窗帘首先着了火。 [MSC, simp.]

Chuānglián shǒuxiān zháo le huǒ. [Pinyin]

First the curtains caught on fire.

書找著了。／书找着了。  ―  Shū zhǎo zháo le.  ―  The book was (successfully) found.

The first one: It attempts to enclose it in brackets first. Fixed by disabling linking (code should be fixed too). Second one: 窗帘 should be in traditional (窗簾). Wyang (talk) 02:15, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
