This website states that, when used as a surname, the Mandarin tone is "1." Can this be investigated? 24.93.190.134 18:25, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
- It is true that this character is Zī when used as a surname (ex. Zi Shun 訾順 of the Han Dynasty). When used as a verb, it is zǐ, meaning to slander. -- A-cai 06:15, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
