Both yuki₁ and yo₂ki₁ attested in MYS

@Poketalker, Erminwin, Kwékwlos, I'm finding both ⟨yo₂ki₁⟩ and ⟨yuki₁⟩ in the MYS -- both forms are attestable in OJP. Notably, ⟨yo₂ki₁⟩ is much less common, and I can only find one instance, in book 14 poem 3423, a poem described as a 東歌 (Azuma uta) or "eastern song", demonstrating the eastern dialect of OJP. ⟨yuki₁⟩ meanwhile appears in books 5, 14, 17, 18, and 20.

While this might derive from Proto-Japonic ⟨yo₂ki₁⟩, that form is reconstructed and not source-able to ancient materials. I'm reworking our existing etym accordingly, and including a note about the eastern OJP form. Do you all think such a note is sufficient for the eastern OJP? • Pellard (2008) opined that the problematic case of EOJ ⟨o₂⟩ corresponding to WOJ ⟨u⟩ (even though the usual corresponding EOJ sound was ⟨o₁⟩) might have resulted from "it [the AU poem] [having] thus been corrupted by the scribes of WOJ". Given that ⟨yo₂ki₁⟩ is only attested once, I'm inclined to agree with Pellard. Erminwin (talk) 06:44, 8 April 2019 (UTC)
