Akkadograms in Akkadian?[edit]

Akkadian is said to use PI as an Akkadogram. I don't see how this is possible, by definition; if it's in Akkadian, it's just a normal phonetic expression of the language that a text is written in, not 'an Akkadogram'. From the standard sense of the term, as explained in the wiktionary entry on Akkadogram, it follows that only a language other than Akkadian (Hittite being probably the most famous example) can have Akkadograms. 62.73.69.121 23:04, 18 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your comment. I changed it to "Sumerogram", based on this ePSD2 entry. — Sartma 𒁾𒁉𒊭 𒌑𒊑𒀉𒁲 21:36, 8 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
