MODs as music files[edit]

The old Commodore Amiga computer had a "MOD" music file format (a kind of module composed with a tracker) which was very influential and used in various games and in the demoscene, also on the PC platform. These files/songs are often called "MODs". I dunno if it's worth a Wiktionary mention because it might be interpreted as just a filename extension (along the lines of "this directory contains 5 TXTs and an XLS"). I'm also not entirely sure how Amiga filenames work, but I know the "extension" came first (e.g. "MOD.MYSONG2"). Equinox 22:26, 22 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
