i think the hebrow translation is not quit precise , erez yesrael mean land of israel , and thats another word , i know it might mean the same reagion (and probably more) , but the hebrew termonology uses the word palestine , and i belive that when talking about lets say the palestinian othority or the plo or palestine under the british control or what ever , in hebrow , its not so realistic to say the "Erez israel-ian othority" :)

Use of Palestine as if Israel does not exist

Many people use "Palestine" as if Israel does not exist as a way to refer to all of the land that encompasses Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza. This is very common on college campuses and in academia. People literally say "I am going to Palestine this summer," and many times they do NOT mean the West Bank or Gaza. I think this sense is common enough to warrant inclusion here. — This comment was unsigned.
