I think etymology is composed of πήνη pênê "cloth" and λέπω lépô "tear" : « she who tears apart [during the night] the cloth [she wove during the day] », rather than πηνέλοψ pênélops "duck", not attested in my classical greek dictionary. --Diligent 08:19, 21 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
