Countable - Plural?[edit]

"no plural"
"(countable) Derogatory term for a non-human being."

Being countable should imply it has a plural. How does it work? How is it counted, if there is no plural? "zwei Vieh", "drei Vieh" etc. doesn't sound right. "zwei Viecher", "drei Viecher" could use the plural of Viech only. Is Viecher also a plural of Vieh, or a pseudo-plural thereof like -leute as pseudo-plural of -mann? -84.161.40.203 10:20, 4 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

I've made some edits that reflect my interpretation of the situation. There is a difference between southern and northern use, because in the south they use "Viech" in the sense of "farm animal", so it's "Viech" (singular), "Viecher" (plural), "Vieh" (collective). But in the north, "Vieh" means "livestock" and "Viech" means "pest". It's a bit complicated.
