Most Watanabes are 渡辺 as in the etymology, but there are others--I know of 渡邉, 渡邊, and 渡部. Probably some Watanabes trace their ancestors to one of those too. I don't know how best to put that into the etymology. Maybe adding a hiragana link? Thanks Haplology 16:09, 15 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
