Is it common to transcribe Greenlandic with this system of six or more phonemic vowels and geminates for <r>+C rather than three phonemic vowels and /ʁ/+C? And is it ideal for representing the actual pronunciation? I hear [χ] in these clusters, thus perhaps [aː.vɑχ.pɔq]. I have to say that I've just a basic understanding of the phonetic system, but the uvular fricative seems clearly audible most of the time. 90.186.83.177 21:36, 10 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
