Adjective as well?[edit]

Isn't it more than a noun?

Like:

You need to get an aftermarket 20 mm fan.
(Virtually) all nouns can be used attributively as modifiers, as in your example. If that is the only way in which they behave like adjectives, we don't add an adjective section. Only if they are attestably gradable ("more/extremely aftermarket"}, are used as predicates ("That fan is aftermarket."), are modifiable by adverbs like very, or have a meaning that is not found in the noun do we have an adjective section for them.
If we did not do this we would have to add adjective definitions for virtually all noun definitions. A dictionary cannot have a complete set of precise definitions for every word, the definitions should be sufficient to cover the dimensions of semantic possibility.
