Might the choice of albedo over albor or albitudo for the technical term in physics have been caused by its similarity to البياض‎? 89.64.68.220 23:13, 28 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Probably not. The similarity isn't all that compelling, and I doubt physicists spend a lot of time studying Arabic. It's different from astronomy, where a lot of things were first named by Arabic astronomers. Chuck Entz (talk) 02:33, 29 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
