- No cite for “alcateia de leões”, I’m afraid. However, I found “alcateia” of jackals, gorillas, coyotes (though some consider these wolves), feras and (!!!) zombies, so I’m adding a “by extension” sense for any fierce beast. — Ungoliant (Falai) 03:21, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
- Scratch that. Found one cite, plus my table dictionary lists alcatéia as the collective noun of leão (my dictionary has a section for collective nouns. Cool, eh?). So I guess it does fit under the by extension definition. — Ungoliant (Falai) 03:34, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
- Ooh, cool. I can't wait for the apocalypse of Lusophone zombies. Seems like FWOTD material, but at least for now Portuguese is one of the only languages we've actually got a lot ready for.
