Apparently the plural is "metaphonic" with the singular. What exactly is meant here? Perhaps explanation could be provided (especially since Wiktionary has no page for the word (I've found "metaphony", but it's still not clear what is meant)). — This unsigned comment was added by JodianWarrior (talk • contribs).
- Some words have /o/ in the singular and /ɔ/ in the plural. In Portuguese grammar these plurals are called metaphonic. See Appendix:Portuguese nouns and Category:Portuguese metaphonic plurals for examples. — Ungoliant (falai) 22:41, 16 June 2015 (UTC)
