amaritude

An anon has recently moved the entry from English to Middle English, but left the EME spelling of amaritude as the entry title (I can only find it in Caxton as Middle English amarytude. That said, I find only the 1 Middle English use of this word: c.1450~1489 (Caxton); 2 EME uses: 1611 (Speed) and 1666 (Harvey); and one Scots use in 1599 (Stewart). Are there any others ? FOund one: 1630 (Taylor). That makes this term EME. I will revert the change. Leasnam (talk) 16:24, 26 July 2020 (UTC)

I did not find more uses, but I found one snippet in Google Books[1] saying it came into English via Old French and not directly from Latin as our etymology states. Vox Sciurorum (talk) 16:39, 26 July 2020 (UTC)
