The meaning #2 of "apelativo" in Portuguese is wrong[edit]

It's not appealing; it's the opposite. "Apelativo" doesn't have a positive connotation. It's when someone or something (usually a work of art) tries to call attention using subterfuges to hide his/her/its lack of qualities. It's a show-off, but "apelativo" is an adjective while "show-off" is a noun so I don't know which translation would be the best. Dellamotta (talk) 09:24, 5 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
