@msh210: It definitely exists, but I wouldn't say it's exactly synonymous with prendre part, although I'm unable to explain why. On another note, the French wiktionary entry makes no sense: it's said to be a calque of English take part, but "take" is usually translated by "prendre", not by "avoir". If anything, it's prendre part which could be seen as a calque of its English equivalent. --Barytonesis (talk) 11:26, 14 April 2017 (UTC)
