It could be attributive use of the plural noun basics, referring to basic types of clothing. I don't think that is well captured as just plural of basic#Noun, though that is obviously the etymology. DCDuring TALK 20:33, 23 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
Examining some of the source at basics”, in OneLook Dictionary Search. shows that some (eg, Collins) call basics a plural noun.
