Cited from a durably archived journal published by the Vatican.
There are some other potential sources too: This "Conversational Latin" dictionary by John Traupman defines it as "baseball" (ball), and gives ludus basipilae for the sport. It also has basipila ludere as "play baseball", so it could potentially be the sport in that context. This other dictionary by the same author has (unsurprisingly) the same. FWIW the accent marks in these sources do not appear to be the same as what we give. This German-Latin dictionary published by the Vatican has ludus pilae et basium, but gives ludus basipilae as a synonym. 70.172.194.25 06:17, 28 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
