blend in is listed as a derived form but how is this different from the verb sense of blend + the preposition in? RJFJR 17:39, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- blend in can be "blend" + preposition, or it can be a particle verb. The former in: The ingredients blend in the pot. The latter in: We should blend in the nuts. Since I'm not a native speaker of English, I don't know if my examples are perfect, but I hope the difference becomes clear. Kolmiel (talk) 19:47, 19 November 2015 (UTC)
