This is good. I had no idea what a bugaboo was.

Bugaboo[edit]

This word is used in the book "A series of Unfortunate events".That's the second time I met this word. first time was when I bought the stroller for my baby , which called "Bugaboo" ( the stroller, not the baby :-)

Also, I was watching PBS Kids (it was the only thing on before The Simpsons), and I fond some thing called, Word Girl(its actually a little funny =D ). Eventually I watch it whenever I get the chance, and it taught me the word, bugaboo.

Poe[edit]

Edgar Allen Poe published a short story, "The Man that was Used Up", in 1839 which refers to (fictitious?) military campaigns against ferocious tribes called the Bugaboo and the Kickapoo. The latter are a native American grouping, and I think the former may be related to a Bantu language called Bugabu.
