I'm not sure if the usage, "I need to catch up on my homework," is included in this list of senses. Tooironic 03:26, 26 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sense 5 is the closest. DCDuring TALK 10:48, 26 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Rfv-sense: 3 senses. 2 seem UK and probably included in broader definitions just added (which could bear more improvement). One broader sense is included in one of the new senses, but but awkwardly. DCDuring TALK 12:51, 11 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Senses 3, 4 & 5 would all be generally understood in the UK, but are they not all just particular uses of sense 2? Do we need to include every nuance of meaning? Dbfirs 15:23, 28 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
Yes they are of course as Dbfirs suggests. It is a very fine point to suggest that an omnibus edition of a soap is a catch up. It is a repitition. The suspect entries have been removed. RTG 06:22, 14 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
No they're not removed now, apparently the discussion needs to go on a bit longer. RTG 22:22, 14 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
I think sense 4 and 5 could very easily be more obviously included in sense to by changing that from "An amount, thing, or receipt of information that enables one to catch up." to "An amount, thing, or, receipt or repetition of information that enables one to catch up." Agreed, executed, RfV failed. Senses deleted. DCDuring TALK 23:51, 16 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
