Why no Greek plurals?[edit]

My curiosity was piqued when I saw this word was an immediate loanword from Greek and yet people apparently use mainly Hebrew plural endings beside the English one. How come? Is it that English speakers just tend to avoid Greek plurals, -like in scientific names that have a mix of Latin and Greek, or did the original Greek speakers also use the Hebrew endings? 87.49.44.198 19:50, 12 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
