- Haven't heard it, but would it mean (deprecated template usage) dead + (deprecated template usage) first, patterned after dead last, which also seems SoP to me. DCDuring TALK 01:37, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
- I think (deprecated template usage) dead last merits an entry, as do most technically-SOP compound terms which use a relatively obscure sense of one or more of the component words. Anyhow, getting back to (deprecated template usage) dead first, after some deeper digging I've added more quotations and I think it is now adequately cited. -- Ghost of WikiPedant 04:28, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
