Given the number of results, especially in older books, it makes some sense to define this directly as an archaic spelling of deprive (or "archaic or nonstandard"). I couldn't find any instances where it doesn't just mean deprive though after a relatively extensive search. —Al-Muqanna المقنع (talk) 12:27, 25 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
