Phrasebook entry. It is not the kind of phrase that commonly appears in phrasebooks, being present in five phrasebooks by two different publishers. It's probably also not very useful, who's going to use this in an unfamiliar foreign language? Lingo Bingo Dingo (talk) 09:58, 20 September 2017 (UTC)

google books:"do you believe in God" "phrasebook" is a search finding what you report. The results are not terribly many, and one can argue that two publishers do not yield 3-independence, but they are not so bad. (These considerations are about the lemming heuristic for the phrasebook, and are not based on an actual formal policy, which is in WT:CFI#Idiomaticity.) --Dan Polansky (talk) 17:35, 20 September 2017 (UTC)

If we apply my tentative lemming criteria, which is, for English phrasebook entries, independent occurences in 3 phrasebooks, the entry would be kept, unless the independence of the found quotations would be questioned. The independence cannot be questioned on account of same authors (since they are not the same); it has to be questioned on account of same format of the found phrasebooks. Other criteria are that a phrasebook entry has to be (1) very common, and (2) useful to non-native speakers. do you believe in God, is it going to rain, what is your name at Google Ngram Viewer finds more hits for do you believe in God than for is it going to rain and it not completely overshadowed by what is your name; and the phrase could be arguably useful.

The entry was created by @Atitarev and multiple editors added translations, especially @Dick Laurent.

Actually, having said all that, I am inclined to keep this entry as a phrasebook entry. --Dan Polansky (talk) 09:17, 4 February 2018 (UTC)
