New mongolian entry[edit]

Found this word on the BBC, in this article: Mongolia on verge of mineral boom.

Wikipedia has an article at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zud.

Zud and Dzud seem to be alternates of the same thing.

Зуд seems to be the mongolian spelling (from wikipedia), where the "3" is really a unicode character: U+0417 CYRILLIC CAPITAL LETTER ZE

The English transliterations dzud and zud should go under the ==English== header. The native Mongolian form зуд (zud) should be under ==Mongolian==. I made the necessary changes. --Vahag 07:30, 6 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
