Event or period[edit]

By the definition "something that took place", the term "episode" seems to by synonymous either to event or to period. Which one of the two is the right one, or the one closer to "episode"? Or is there another, better synonym, and therefore, perhaps a better definition? --Daniel Polansky 17:41, 29 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well, I suppose that periods do not happen, so that candidate is out of the game. Still, there is a difference between "episode" and "event", isn't? Is it perhaps that "episode" happens accidentally, unplanned, or even typically unwanted? --Daniel Polansky 17:45, 29 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
