Talk:eudicot

Trying to keep this short, as it is a dictionary entry.

1. The name of the group is "eudicots", not "eudicotyledons". Try Google. Try the literature.

2. It is nice to try and explain "tricolpate" but

a) it adds extra length

b) this is better done under "tricolpate"

c) the explanation offered was incomplete, reality is more complex than that

d) it is somewhat inappropriate as it is one of the less visible characteristics of this group.

3) The name Rosopsida is somewhat in use, but is this enough to be included here? Especially as this name may as well refer to other groups.
