Any fans of this word may want to check out the following question on the Wikipedia reference desk: W:Wikipedia:Reference_desk/Science#What_is_the_antonym_of_feral.3F. I couldn't find the answer, and other people seemed to struggle, too.--Polyparadigm 04:18, 9 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Rfv-sense - (Australian, colloquial) A person who has isolated themselves from the outside world.

Not something I'm familiar with, and totally different from the normal use of the word.--Dmol 01:19, 21 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

The adjectival form applied to a human should be there (try gogglng "he's gone feral") - can the noun form be attested ? Saltmarshαπάντηση 07:52, 21 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
I've added the adjective form for a human (surprised it wasn't there), but that is still not the same as the disputed sense.--Dmol 08:57, 21 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
Looks like Pingku cited it in March. - -sche (discuss) 21:03, 15 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Pronunciation[edit]

Some Americans pronounce the first vowel as more like /i/. Not universally though. I'm originally from the northeastern US and I say it the way it says here. 70.36.139.84 23:31, 27 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
