[edit]mind that the adjectif "asticoté" does not mean "invaded by asticots (maggots)" , but "aggravated" . And what might be our equivalent of "flyblown" : "mangé aux vers" ("worm-eaten") refers only to wood or cloth larvae. For carrion-eating larvae, we'd rather use the adj. "putride", as Charles Baudelaire in his "Une charogne" ("A carrion") , from "Les Fleurs du mal" ("Flowers of evil") :
